The HVR-V1U camcorder provides affordable HD acquisition by offering true 1080p image capture ni a small camcorder form factor. Three ClearVid CMOS Sensors, combined with Sony’s 14-bit Enhanced Image Processor, create an exceptional camcorder capable of capturing images at 1080p24, 1080p30, and 1080 60i. All video is processed at 1920 x 1080 at 60 p in full 4:2:2, for optimum picture quality. In the 1080 24p mode, the images are scanned at the full 1080 lines, and 2:3 pull down is added and recorded to the 60i HDV tape. From SD to HD, and 24p to 60i, Sony’s HVR-V1U offers an extremely versatile, high-quality production package.
